Sophia Collective’s Origin Story

In the closing weeks of 2017, a group of women gathered together with one goal: to create a collective for healers to be able to grow and thrive in their personal businesses while existing in a supportive community of likeminded individuals. From the inception of our collective, we have felt guided and supported by an innate wisdom that we all share. In Greek, Sophia means wisdom, and thus, Sophia Collective was born. Sophia is a place to gather with a uniquely supportive healing community and all are welcome.

Seek to know and you are me
stretch to become and you are me
the feminine quests for wisdom
the feminine part of all women
all women are the goddess
all women have wisdom
all women are Sophia

With the core values below, we agree to create a safe and supportive environment for our collective and community members. We encourage collaboration and exploration within our community to create a culture of deep healing for mind body and spirit for all who walk through Sophia’s doors.

Our Core Values

  1. Radical Expression – Express yourself to your fullest potential and encourage others to do so. Be mindful not prevent or hinder the expression of others physically, emotionally, or energetically.

  2. Be Visible and Available – Actively express your healing gifts to the community.

  3. Collaborative and Supportive – Opportunities to collaborate and support practitioners in other modalities.

  4. Advocacy and Education – Cultivate healing and wellness for the community by providing a variety of services and education.

  5. Personal Development Culture – Encouraged exploration of self – a constant cultivation of the best version of yourself.  ~ Seek to know, stretch to become.

At Sophia Collective you’ll find a wide range of healing modalities. In our well-being studio we have offerings including integrative massage, Reiki and other energy work, Neuromovement, organic facials and vegan spray tanning, waxing, and chiropractic care. Our buzzing movement studio calendar is full of yoga and other movement classes with some talented instructors. Finally, there is an ever-changing schedule of educational and experiential workshops, and a retail boutique that has been thoughtfully curated with products, artwork, apparel, and jewelry from local artists. These pieces of our collective come together to create a comprehensive healing environment for ourselves, our members, and the greater Bloomington community. Sophia Collective opened its doors on Monday October 22nd, 2018, and will have a Grand Opening celebration in the weeks to come. We look forward to sharing our space and collective with you!
