Angela Williams is a Certified Nia Black Belt Instructor and Move I.T. Somatic Coach with over 500 hours of somatic education. She has been sharing the magic of Nia in Bloomington, Indiana since 2010.  Her degree in Gender Studies has deepened her understanding and expanded her awareness of the issues surrounding body image and the challenges of loving our bodies and ourselves wholly. Angela teaches Nia to condition the body, free the spirit and connect people with the healing power of their own bodies. She energizes her classes with passion, love and a deep knowledge and respect for the human body and the Nia practice. With her outrageous spirit, she shares the freedom that comes from living in a body that you love. Angela’s classes are joyful, powerful, playful, and transformative.

An emotional fitness odyssey, Nia is just plain exhilarating” – New York Times. Nia is a blend of healing arts, dance arts and martial arts. With choreography based in the anatomy (The Body’s Way) and a strong FreeDance component (Your Body’s Way) it’s a unique mix of science and spirit. Most of all, it’s fun!
